Sorry if the question is a lite wired but I remember that movies used to take like a year for them to come on DVD. I remember finding nemo was one of the first dvds to be quickly released.
Thanks?

For one the advent of instant media, like itunes, netflix increased the demand/need of buyers to want DVD's faster. Additionally, they are fighting a loosing battle with things like the pirate bay, bittorrent and more. in case you didn't know the pirate bay and bittorrent are internet websites that allow users to download files in a less than above board manner. So if companies, want to make money with DVD's they have to release them faster and faster or else customers will download them online for less money therefore they lose potential money.
