A kangaroo was spotted on the loose in Bessemer, Alabama, over the weekend, before it was recaptured by its owner, according to police.Footage recorded by Dee Miller on Sunday evening, January 28, shows the kangaroo hopping along a street in the Birmingham suburb.“I was riding in the car with my mom along the roadway and noticed something strange up ahead standing in the middle of the road,” Miller told Storyful.“We both couldn’t tell [what it was] until we got closer and I asked her to slow down,” Miller said.According to a Bessemer police officer quoted in local news reports, the owner of the kangaroo later recaptured the animal, which was one of several exotic pets.
