Error message on dvd recorder?

Hi, I am trying to record a movie on my dvd recorder. Im recording off my dvr from brighthouse. i usually dont have a problem but today Im getting an error message from my dvd recorder saying " can't record in tvr mode." Can anyone tell me how to fix this? What is tvr mode? It could also be +vr mode. Looks a little like a plus sign. Thanks for your help!

Try to access the owner's manual in PDF format via the Internet and 'search' for +vr mode. Of course you could also use the paper version - but you obviously didn't absorb that info the first time you read it (IF YOU READ IT).
