DVD Randomly Stopped Working?

Maybe someone here will have some suggestions because I am at a loss.

I have a new DVD that has played great since the day I got it, until today that is. Today I put it in my DVD player and it loads but will not play it just stays on the DVD home screen. The disc is not damaged, the player plays every other DVD I have put in there no problem and has played this one in the past. It's not a burned DVD, it's a store bought one. I was just gonna go buy a new copy of it and say forget it but figured before I do that and then find out there's a simple fix I would see if anyone else has had this issue and fixed it.

Depending on where you bought the DVD, they may be willing to trade it for another copy of the movie. I'm sure wal mart would. Does the DVD play on other DVD players?
