So I put my disc in earlier and it starts spinning up, reading the disc. Then it just stops spinning, then a few seconds later, it spins again, then stops. I've check the disc, perfectly clean. It did the same with other discs and I'm like "Okay, all my discs cant be broken". It eventually played the disc after ejecting it a few times, but I'm still worried if it happens again. Does anyone know what the problem might be with the dvd player?
Going to point out something.

1. Its not that old...and why do I specifacally need to get a blu ray player? DVDs still got years left before obsoletion

2. Its a built in dvd player, so you can imagine that most external dvd players on those kind of tvs can be the crappiest quality imaginable

Obviously broke mate I have been through 6 in 2 yeArs because I play copy DVDs on them and unless you always use the same make of copy the lasers tend to pack in you will find the same thing in stereos of using copy audio CDs after some time Put ya hand in ya pocket it's Tom for a new one Ya can get one in as a now 4 £-12 better than forking out £100 just feel sort for ya if its a bluey ray player

It is time for you to replace your old DVD player with a Blu Ray disc player. The price have dropped over the years. You can purchase a new one for less than $100 for a quality name brand player. Panasonic is the most reliable player in the market. Hope this will help you out.

There are several possible faults, none of which
an ordinary person can either diagnose or correct.

Either take it to a repair shop to have it dealt with,
or replace the functions of the built-in player
with an external DVD or Blu-Ray player.

My guess is that a buying new player will be a better deal
than having the built-in one repaired.
