Dreaming about looking for someone but never finding them?

I'm looking for this friend I met abroad who I had a crush on when I was there. Still not sure if I'm over my feelings for him. I'm always back where I studied abroad, the university, and looking for him in various ways. I go in various buildings, the geography always changes on me as the dream progresses, and in the end I never find him before I wake up. These dreams have been reoccuring for a while.
