Does this ecard greeting give you the impression it's for a friend or lover?

that was two days ago and he hasn't replied, i know he's alright so i am worried if i seem to have overstepped a friendship line.

He did tell me a few weeks ago that he loved me but was quick to say he was joking
Would you take the ecard as friendship or more meaning to it

I would understand it as something more meaningful. It is rather full on about love and passion to be a gesture of friendship. You should go out of your way to bring this up with him. If you don't have feelings for him, you need to make that clear. I think he is just unsure what so say, so saying nothing.
