Does Mercury Lounge in NYC have a ID scanner?

My ID doesn't scan but I really want to see a show there! I turn 21 in a month and one of my favorite bands are playing. :-(

I have never seen an ID scanner in my life. I think they are much more rare and mainly used a tool to scare people.

That is up to the bouncer/security who is guarding the door.

Do you have a debit/credit card with the same name on the ID?
Since ID's can be faked, some clubs ask for that as well plus
most bouncers are off-duty cops so they know what to look for.

If your ID is legit, you will have nothing to worry about there.
