Actually I had an awkward situation once where I was laughing at what someone had said about me, taking it on the chin so to speak when one of my friends said "You do realize we're laughing at you, not with you" and I just kept a smiling face even though I was fighting off the urge to tear his face off. Ever since then I've been incredibly careful about when to start laughing because sometimes taking it on the chin means not reacting badly but not reacting well either. After that they ceased to be my friends but hey...
