Cyclone Batsirai left flooding, damaged building and power outages in its wake on February 6 after making landfall in Madagascar the day before. Several people were reported to have died.Footage livestreamed by local governor Lova Paupil Razafindrafito shows trees uprooted, a building’s roof removed and areas flooded in the city of Fianarantsoa.AFP reported at least six people were killed.Meteo-France, France’s national meteorological agency, said Batsirai made landfall on Madagascar at around 8 pm on Saturday with average wind speeds of 167 km/h (103.7 mph).Batsirai was downgraded to a tropical storm as it made its way across the country, with wind gusts of up to between 60-70 km/h (37-43 mph), Meteo Madagascar said.
