Celica GTS vs Volkswagen Jetta?

One guy wants to race my 2000 Celica GTS he has a 2000 Jetta passat. But its turboed and no tune, mine is bone stock. Im pretty sure i have a chance This guys is so scared he wont let me race with my 98 eclipse gsx with a big 16g. Can my celica win, i have no grip but i cam do a decent launch with my worn tires

you really shouldn't be racing but here's one for you: Both cars have a 1.8 liter engine. His car puts out similar hp but the Passat needs a turbo to achieve that. not sure what you think of that but being that your tranny is geared for quick acceleration and your car is considerably lighter, sounds like it's a no contest here. The Celica will win. Race him... If you lose, you should be tarred and feathered.
