DVD's bought in Asia are recorded in a different region and they will not work on a western DVD player. you can play them on your computer twice. The third time your computer will lock itself into the new region forever. You can get something like "Slysoft AnyDVD" program that will let your computer by-pass the region codes. The region codes are so people can't buy super cheap copies in Asia and sell them in th U.S.
The Sound and Vision stores at the HKIA sell cd's and dvd's. They don't have a big selection, but do sell the top selling and and most popular discs. Many are local HK artists and favorites.
