Can racist get banned from xbox live?

can you get banned from xbox live if you're leaving racist messages to somene? I reported a few people tonight and well I would like to know if action will be taken against them. The n word was used and I'm not even black. its just my avatar is brownish color because I'm Native American in real life. I guess people can't tell the difference. will they be banned or suspended?

Unfortunately if you filed complaint then no they won't be banned BUT! If they have been reported by various gamers alike then yes it is possible. As a matter of fact if you leave an offensive message anywhere in your info including name, location, or bio you will get tracked down by Microsoft servers and they will suspend your account.

They say they will but 90% of time nothing ever happens unless they have like 100+ reports
