My parents sold their Bose 321 sound system due to an emergency which I couldn't at the time help out with, but now since everything is fine, I'm sure they'd like a new home theater (at least my dad would) so I was thinking of surprising them with an Onkyo S3300, but with such a price difference I was wondering if it would sound cheesy compared to the Bose 321 or would I or they have to spend a fortune on a new 321 system. I do know though, that their expectations weren't met with the 321...maybe because of the price I don't know, but how would an 'entry level' Onkyo compare?
But this is a specific Onkyo model. And there is a huge price difference~about $600. I know this Bose system is overpriced, I figured that as well, but this is also a lower end Onkyo I'm trying to replace the old one with.
