I'm thinking about purchasing a bicycle, a Hybrid bike specifically but i want something that will last long and nothing from a department store. Does anyone know of any good bike shops in Chicago that sells hybrid bikes at reasonable prices?
Define "reasonable prices". They will all run around the same price from any bike shop in any brand. Why? Because they all basically use the same or similar components made by Shimano, SRAM, Weinmann rims (wheels), etc., etc.
Raleigh sometimes runs a tad lower. Example: Both bikes linked below have about the same specs. The Raleigh cost about $400. The Jamis cost about $450.
Google "bicycle shop" including your zip code. Brings them all up in your area.
Google " bike shops + your zip " all manufacturers have a hybrid in their line up. You have a choice between a fitness hybrid or one with shocks and an upright seating position.
