I want something that will last but is a little sporty. Definitely four door,a 6 cylinder,good on gas and has low insurance rates. New or used,doesn't matter. Ideas?
For a 20 year old male, what you undeniably need is a M3. It's the ultimate statement for any male of your age. Now obviously, the new one would be very expensive, but the older ones are a perfect substitute. There are two which you could consider the BMW M3 E46 and the BMW M3 E36 ( the E36 is the older model).
Both have 4 door models, acceptable gas mileage, reasonably low insurance rates, both have 6 cylinder engines. And on that topic, what beauties those engines are, trust me, whether its belting down the highway or flying around the race track, those engines are nothing less than perfect. the handling is nothing short of exhilarating and brilliant, and the reliability is blast proof.
And best of all, these cars are at the front of car modding; if you have extra cash and want to spec up your car, there are literally countless number of parts that can be upgrade by millions of aftermarket companies, prominently "Alpina", a company specializing in BMW aftermarket modifying.
Do yourself a favor and go looking for a M3, you'll never make a better decision that owning your very own M3. It's everything to every man.
4door and a little sporty hmm. how about a lancer? the newer ones old ones are ugly. or maybe a Nissan altima. but there mostly 4cyl. if you want a sporty v6 get a rs camaro. you can get a 2002 for 3-4grand with low miles. very sporty/cool and good on gas
