Ballon d'Or winner Luka Modric calls out Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi for skipping

Ever since 2008, either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi has won the Ballon d’Or, aka the world soccer player of the year award. Ronaldo and Messi both declined to attend the ceremony, held in Paris on Dec. 3, and Modric had some choice thoughts on it. It turns out these choices and trophies only have value when they get them.
