Hi, I have two OS running on my netbook, Windows 7 and Backtrack 5. Windows running smoothy but Backtrack run very slow. Can anyone help me how to improve the performance of backtrack on my netbook?

My Netbook Specs is:
AMD C-50 Dual-Core 1.0 Ghz
2 GB RAM
320 GB Storage / 40 GB for backtrack / 10 GB for swap
ATI Radeon HD 6200

Thanks in advance

first i hope u download the 32-bit gnome ,coz the KDE is kind of slow and crapy
but gnome is working fine ,but u must download the 32-bit

However if it was still soo slow ..try to download the vmware version (virtual machine )
u need to download the version and download the program that will make u able to switch the backtrack in your windows or mac

wish u the best
hope that i helped
.

You can switch desktops, as stated above. I use XFCE on Slackware, myself. Bluntly, while you can configure Backtrack to run on a netbook I'd run it on a laptop myself.
