I am looking for a music only setup; what is recommended as far as speaker configuration
basically i am trying to figure out if i should get a sub or just use the two tower speakers. i dont see a need for a sub, unless i wanted to play more trebles in the tower speakers and switch bass more to a dedicated heavy unit. i feel this is not a bad thing, because i have to turn the volume up, to where the mid and high pictch sounds kind of dominate when the basss comes in to play. the reciever does have quite a big range of bass, and turning that up with the treble lower sounded good on some songs.
I'm just wondering if the whole sub with speaker system is a good thing, or is it some kind of home theather consumer driven type of thing?
