ATT user using HTC G1 phone questions..Please help!?

Hi ,
I just got an unlocked G1 phone, and im a ATT user. I was using 3G iphone before, therefore i have unlimited data in my plan. I am just wondering if the unlimited data plan also works for my G1 phone..Please help.

ps: i know the 3G wont work, but at least edge is fine. Thanks!
