I bought the tv from Amazon in December (first time buyer from Amazon). Then I decided to plug in the internet cable to the tv, comcast is my isp, hardwire because the wireless wasn't working well (adapter usb you buy for $80).

The tv seems to be working fine. I like it because it looks better than the Sony. Sony I like your products but please make your tv look better. Anyway, right now I'm starting to regret buying the Samsung because of this internet connection issue.

When you buy a Samsung, they give you a 1 yr manufacturer warranty. I bought the tv in December, in January, one month later, I called Samsung about the internet connection problem. This tv for some reason doesn't automatically detect the internet connection when you the internet cable in. You have to enter manually the IP address, Subnet Masks, Gateway and DNS server, to the tv. It would pass the 2 test, then always fail on the 3rd.

When I use these settings and then go the "Network Connection Test" I get the following result:

v MAC Address ()
v IP Address,Subnet Mask,Gateway,DNS Server
x Gateway Ping
Internet Service Test

I'm not the only person having this problem. Other have problems on their blu-ray player trying to connect to Netflix.

Anyone can help out there would be appreciated? Samsung sent a tech over (3rd party tech) to replaced the board in back of the tv (after a month of purchase), then it was working for 2 days, then the internet stopped working on the tv. The 2nd time the tech came around, basically they just blamed it on comcast.

Right now, the tv internet is not working. I have to plug the internet cable to the PS3 to get Netflix to work. And when I plug it into the PS3, I don't have a problem. I actually don't have to even manually punch in the IP address, Subnet Masks or anything.

Do you think this is a Samsung problem or Comcast problem? How come internet work on the PS3 and not on the tv? Other people have this problem as well, all over the internet.
typo -- when you plug in the internet cable in.

Also, I think there is a problem or lots of people have this problem because there is a post to fix this problem. I tried it, but didn't work for me.
