Any Small, Inexpensive Pet Ideas?

I really would like to get another small pet soon. But it has to be affordable and doesn't take up to much room. I currently have a guinea pig, hermit crab, fish, and dog. I want a hamster but I'm not sure if it's to expensive because my guinea pig is very expensive. (to pay for supplies). Do you have any ideas for a small animal that is not expensive, doesn't require expensive supplies, and is friendly? Thanks.

What about a friend for your guinea pig?
No pet is really inexpensive, but it would probably just be easier to get one of what you already have instead of getting a completely different animal. Also guinea pigs like companionship.
