I'm curious to know if any of the UK MAPpers are Independent Financial Advisers. I've been considering a career change into that area, and just wondered if anyone had any practical advice, rather than the very generic stuff that you find all over the internet about being a para-planner or a tied agent first.
Any thoughts on which of those routes is better for what sort of person?
Any idea where to look for jobs like that which don't require prior experience in the financial field?
Any other general advice?
