Any Alt Rock/Metal band with pop rock like vocals and heavy sound?

Hi. I'm recently looking for something kinda weird: an alt rock/metal band with pop rock style vocals and lyrics yet a really heavy, metal-like sound and instruments. Something like a collaboration between The Train's singer and the rest of Megadeth, or a twofold guitar heavy Young the Giant. Any ideas? Thx for all answers.

That sounds like a great idea to bring up ... the good vocals (no autotune or computers) with the stronger music (but metal with harmonies, not of one single chord all the song). Say... Tenacious D with heavier sound on the guitars and adding some background vocals.
