Americans: amusing or pathetic?

Reading the mostly-American answers on Y!A, I'm struck daily by how many Americans, who are famous for never having traveled outside their own country, confidently express expertise about other nations and peoples.

Americans are also famous for being convinced that every situation, no matter how complex, is a simple choice of all good or all bad - black and white thinking.

Amusing, pathetic or both?

I agree with the first answer. Most American actually do not share the view that the media presents. The media portrays stuff how they see, not how the majority sees it. I think that is rather pathetic.

Americans in general are lovely people but sometimes they Amuse me with there views on things like terror and there love of Israel,

Its not the peoples fault do, There News media is mainly to blame.
