Alt codes for "Wingdings" 1, 2 & 3 font symbols in Microsoft Word?

There are some nice looking symbols in the "Wingdings 2" font that I want to use for a post, but when I use the Character Map to select, copy and paste, all I get is an "e" & "f" instead of the symbols I want. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Just change your font to wingdings 2, or download the font somewhere.
