Advice about taking GNC Pro Performance® AMP Amplified Mass XXX™?

I am 19 years old and about 5' 11" 175lbs. I have been lifting for the past few years and have decided to test out some supplements for better results. I have decided on the AMP Mass XXX because it builds both mass and strength. According to the instructions I am to mix 4 scoops with 16 oz. or either milk or water. In order to make product last alittle longer I have decided to cut back the amount of scoops, not to mention its been reviewed a bad idea to begin with the full 4 scoops. What would be a affective amount to take to begin with? And is there any good recipes for the chocolate flavor? Im thinking going with a frozen banana blended in with milk and powder...
