I have a 1995 Corolla, its a piece of junk, but hey atleast i have something right? well I recently changed the spark plugs and the wireset that connects to the distributor, after reading a Haynes guide book and watching videos online. I really cant remember if it started happening before or after I did the change, but now my car has a hard time running on the highway, and while im going around 50mph, the engine is running very loudly and reads 70mph on the Spedometer. I am not 100 percent sure but i think it is a 1.6L, and those were the spark plugs i got for the car, instead of the 1.8L spark plugs.
So I guess my questions are:
How can I find out if it is a 1.6L or a 1.8L engine?
Are these symptoms of the incorrect spark plugs?
Would the wrong order of the spark plug wires connecting to the distributor cap make this happen?
