1983 microwave making high squeaking noise and steam/smoke coming out a vent at top?

Is it dying? It's a high pitch noise like someone moving heavy furniture across a hard floor. I don't think I'll use it again but what in the world Is going on??!
It was working fine the other day. Also it heated the food through too hot for the amount of time it was cooking.

Made in Japan by the way. Was given to me free. Time for an upgrade. :-/

I had a 1986 from JC Penney, it lasted about 15 yrs and it did the same thing as yours is doing now. It's time to replace it Sis.
P.S. I think they won't honor your warranty if you still have it...they probably won't be able to replace the parts anymore since the technology has changed so much .
