bruit

I had surgery 3 years ago to repair the c5-6 c6-7 disc in neck I went for a check up with my neur sugeon and she heard bruit on my left side

right side.? Started medications and a diet but I am worried still about a stroke.

with no stethoscope, what would it sound like? because i can hear some noises that, to me, it sounds like my stomach is digesting, but it does it at random times. it is pretty loud, kinda as loud as your stomach growling, but a little quieter. there is also a pulse right above my belly button...
