Ok. Im thinking of buying the LG THRIVE go phone. I want to then slip in my sim card from my contracted phone and then just use the wi fi on the lg thrive. If i buy it from best buy, would they make me buy a data plan or no?

I want o get rid of ATT internet and switch to my cable internet because I'll get 20mbps with Road Runner for less. Right now I'm getting 6mbps but would the 2wire router work with cable internet or should I just get a Netgear router? Don't want to get a new one if I can use the 2wire ATT one...
