alternator

So I have a 2005 Ford Focus and just recently when I start it, it will turn over for a couple seconds, then start. Or I will try to start it, it will turn over like its going to start but wont. So then I try a second time then it will start. If you know anything please tell me. Thanks!

...the battery? i dont think its the alternator but if it is thats an easy fix and im pretty sure its not the battery have replaced twice. could it be the regulator or the solenoid or the wiring from alternator to battery?

...battery seems ok, what is wrong? All lights dimmed while driving home & then the car died. It recharged w/ a jump start. Won't hold a charge though.
