Learn the difference between inputs & outputs. NO Blu Ray player has ANY sort of audio inputs. You need an AV receiver to take the audio from the Blu Ray player OUTPUTS to an AV speaker system instead of the set of computer speakers you are using now.
Brand has nothing to do with it. Look for one with a built in tuner. Panasonic is my favorite brand for DVD recorders, but not all all Panasonic models will have tuners, & it isn't the only brand that will have a tuner.
