Maybe reinstalling the newest Utorrent will help... i 1000% wouldn't get a new PC cause of this issue.
selecting torrent files to open in UTorrent SHOULD be the fast and quickest way to fix this though

I cant really speak to the DIVx Player or MAC's but seeing if the desired videos you are trying to view play on VLC ( http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html ) may be an option.
Hopefully a MAC user can be more help.

DVD decrypter will not help if you want to burn a DVD already on your computer.
There are many options (free), including Nero Free (just released apparently), CDBurnerXP (although i have never tried it for dvd-videos), InfraRecorder, or one I have used many times for dvd videos IMGBURN
