recumbant bike seat material?

We are building a recumbent HPV and I have the seat built. I was going to use spray adhesive to apply the foam padding but here is my question. Where could I purchase a good raw material for the topsheet of the seat. Furniture store? arts and crafts store? What would be good to use? maybe leather or synthetic leather?
