I just started taking zoloft last week. Im on 50mg. Im in college so i drink, i was planing on not drinking on the weekends for awhile so i could get the zoloft into my system. but its my friends birthday tomorrow and we were all going to go out and drink. Is it better to skip a dose or just drink a small amount and still take my dose?

I know you arent suspose to mix meds and alcohol, but i have a feeling many people mix zoloft and alcohol since zoloft is prescribed to so many people.

If i did drink and take my zoloft what would my symptoms be?
i also would appreciate answers from people who actually take zoloft or know someone who does.

I dont want answers saying NOOO dont do it just because you think it sounds bad
or should i just try not to drink..but its my friends birthday, i dont wanna be a debby downer haha

Not sure of what your symptoms would be. But even skipping a dose of zoloft, it's in your system still and you'll be mixing it with alcohol. Chance is yours. Your friends should understand why you're not drinking. Be the Designated driver :D
