I am looking to upgrade my Yamaha HTR-5320. I was all gung ho over the Onkyo TX-S606. However, I have since discovered the Sony STR-DG820. However I dont know if the Sony upconverts like the Onkyo.
My TV only has 1 HDMI and the Onkyo has 4 HDMI ports which would eliminate the need for a switchbox. So I am looking for a unit that has at least 2 HDMI ports as well as upcoverts since my curent DVD is a standard player. I am trying to stay below 300.00 the cheaper the better.
