after setting wifi connection, problem in putting internet connection sharing on?

hi guys, i'm trying to connect apple ipod touch and my laptop....so i followed this link http://cnettv.cnet.com/2001-1_53-28619.html and did set up hotspot and my i pod is connected now through wireless.

but i cant access internet in my ipod touch because while sharing the internet connction in my LAN of my laptop, its opting to chage its ip address as the server of my internet, but if i do change i wont get internet in my laptop.

so what to do now? using any proxy ud help u think, if yes, then pls name me any proxy software........... pls help...thanx in advance,...
