Hello,
I am in the market for a used car. My budget is 3500 and I have been looking for a Honda. I found this---
http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/4026952272.html
Nice civic (but they have it listed as a 98 AND a 99, not sure which it is).
My issue is that they are an hour away and I want to take it to a mechanic..and I work until 5pm.
I have checked out dozens of other cars and whenever I say "I'd like to take it to a mechanic" they back out. UGH!
Anyway, the blue book is at 1800. But I'd be willing to pay 2500...does this seem fair?

What other questions should I ask when calling about this?
HELP! Thanks
This has been my biggest issue. people OVERPRICING A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT!!!! I'm in CA, sure, but it seems everyone is pricing their cars around 1500 over blue book @ excellent and won't go down more than 200.
Which is why I've been thinking of fixing my 95 civic that I have w/219,xxx miles. I'm so darn frustrated!
