Scene 1:
3 old witches meet up & discuss plans on telling Macbeth about his future success
Scene 2:
Macbeth lead a victory against Macdonwald's rebel army
Macbeth chopped off Macdonwald's head & hung it on the castle walls
King gives Macbeth title of Thane of Cawdor
Scene 3:
Macbeth and Banquo see the 3 witches
Witches tell Macbeth that he will be Thane of Glamis, Cawdor and King in the future
They disappear & the king's men tell Macbeth he is Thane of Cawdor
Macbeth is thinking of killing King Duncan
Scene 4:
Macbeth meets with the king
King makes his son Malcolm the heir of the throne
Macbeth is angry and invites the King to dinner
Scene 5:
Lady Macbeth hears of her husband's news & schemes about killing Duncan the next day
Scene 6:
King Duncan arrives at Macbeth's home & is greeted by Lady Macbeth
He trusts Macbeth deeply & does not know his true intentions
Scene 7:
Macbeth is having dinner at the King
He no longer wants to kill him since Duncan is innocent and trusts him
Lady Macbeth confronts him and persuades him into agreeing to kill the King (telling him he's chicken & not man enough)
