Adroid bluetooth error Paired but not connected with a Blackberry Curve 8830?

I just got a Sanyo Zio Android phone to replace a Blackbery Curve 8830. When I try to connect them via Bluetooth I get an error that they are "Paired but not connected". I'm trying to transfer my contacts/address book from my Blackberry to the Android.

I have bluetooth enabled on both and both are able to find each other.
