She stays at home or goes to class while I work and provide, yet when I request a little action she refuses.I do the cooking and take care of the kids.Is her refusal of sex grounds to leave?Ironic that the similar question asked by a woman just down the list a little included so many "dump him" or move out answers yet none are here.Guys get to counsel, romance, live without or other solutions but we get to stay.Women who are not being serviced though? So the real question is, "Why the double standard?"

wtf!? damn that sucks...i think you need to explain to her your needs and then she needs to tell you her needs. you know...maybe she is cheating on you?!

Do you show her affection even when you don't want sex? A little touching and affection can go a long way!Is it grounds for divorce? Anything is grounds for divorce. I want out of my marriage more than anything, but I just can't do it to my kids. However, sometimes it's better for the kids. Depends on your situation.Good Luck!

Dude, I feel your pain..........I am in a similar situation. I do the most around the house, laundry, cooking, dishes, and even yard work. But yet she's the one that is in control of the sex department, and I don't get any if she doesn't feel well....and she doesn't feel well most of the friggin' time. I've thought that I'd just not do all the things around the house, but it would just pile up and it would be worse......besides having no sex.

I don't know if not having sex with your husband is grounds for divorce but there seems to be some underlying issues that you don't know about. I don't think she is being an equal part in your marriage. Talk it out, seek counseling, and try to figure things out before you decide to leave. I know I can't live without for very long. I am a twice a day kind of girl so I don't know why she wouldn't want to.

Of course it's grounds to leave. However, beware -- it seems, from my experience, the more domestic (and thus less "manly") a dude appears in his wife's eyes, the more likely she is to cheat. Women don't admit it, but they often disrespect men who do too much good for the sake of the household. It almost seems that many women would prefer a guy who has issues.I'm not saying all women are like this, but I know a couple of instances like this, including from personal experience. Her not giving you sex is also a telltale sign she may be getting it elsewhere -- and wasn't she just away for two weeks?

Yes, I think refusing sex is a breach of the marriage covenant. It is grounds for divorce.

Fancy her refusing and your such a good house husband too perhaps if you worked on your bedroom technique as much as the housework she may say yes!! voila no need for a divorce lol xx (think I should switch careers and become a marriage counsellor)

Irreconcilable differences is the grounds how most people get a divorce. It's a pretty generic term, but when my husband was physically abusive, a drug abuser and alcoholic, that's what I used. But remember about 30% of married people have little or no sex. So chose wisely next time or try to figure out a way to make this marriage work. Maybe she has different needs that you're not meeting. It's usually easier to fix the problem then creating new ones.

Regardless of how much you do around the house, or how much she does, withholding sex, for any reason, is wrong!!!People may not think that it is grounds to leave her, but eventually you will start to seek it elsewhere! It is human nature! If we are deprived a basic human need for very long, we will search it out.If you cheat on her, you will be a jerk, if you leave her you will be a jerk, if you take up porn you will be a jerk!! On the other hand, if you beg her and continue to get rejected it will wear on your emotions! If you are truly unhappy, and she refuses to work on the issues, then leaving her is better than staying and being miserable! Just my opinion! I know I can't live without for very long!! It is all about what you are willing to live with! Good luck!

My brother; do you romance her or try to give her fore play before you start or do you just try to jump on her and hump? Make her feel you. Run her bath. Massage her feet and/or shoulders then let her go to sleep feeling the tenderness. When you go to work let her wake up to a rose on the pillow where you lay your head. If you are already doing all that and not giving her the "Cpt Caveman" approach to love making then you have a real issue.

no-there are many reason for women to not want sex-My wife had an accident and was in a wheelchair for 5 years, had surg to corrct the back problem but still has pain-Sex is no fun if it HURTS

Double standards?Because we are human. There is this great 'battle of the sexes' that goes on all over the world. It sucks. We are all human. We are all individuals. There is no difference between the feelings of a man and a woman. We all have feelings and we can all be hurt so you better be goddam careful when walking over anyone's feelings regardless of sex, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other 'difference' that is apparent between you and them, becasue there is no you and them we are all in this together.

Sex is an important part of a marriage. If you are living with her and not being intimate, you may as well have a roommate, because that's what she is!
