My neighbor is selling their Volkswagen Jetta, and offered me $4,000 to buy it. It is a 2001 manual 5-speed transmission, with 139,000 miles. Perfect condition (no kids, pets, or smoke).I do not no which model it is. My main question is "is it okay to put a turbocharger in this car". My grandpa has told me that it is not safe to do this unless the car comes from the factory with the turbo in it.
