english essay introduction help!?

i'm doing an essay on pearls in class. bassically, in my introcution, i'm supposed to have a "grabber" or something to interest the reader. the essay is on pearls in general, so anything that has to do with pearls that can interest a reader works. does anyone have any ideas or can help me to go towards the right direction?
