How do i get my internet back after installing a bluetooth adapter?

I got a Targus Blue tooth adapter, installed it, got cell phone and palm pilot to connect to the computer, but the adapter has now screwed the internet connection. The connection is DSL. Even after uninstalling the blue tooth adapter, i can't get online. Tried restarting pc, network, and the network card on the computer.
