Is Ventones free ringtones safe?

I've read through countless topics, and it has been said that Ventones is safe. But I'm not so sure, after looking at these 2 questions:

They both have the same answers for Ventones with different user names. So it got me thinking it's a scam. Can I get advice from a REAL Ventones user?
 
Its not a scam.
Ive used it for 2 years now and i get all my ringtones off of it.
Its tottaly safe and your number is safe also.
i strongly reccomend it.
Plus it isnt illegal, since your making your own ringtones!
