Is this the same with other women as well? Why does it hurt? I try to be gentle, but even still it hurts her. I just don't understand. Obviously, if it hurts her, we won't do it. But is there a way to do it so it doesn't hurt? No other positions hurt.
Does this one work for you? Do you like it? Or any benefit to it?
This is an honest serious question, by the way. We've been married for 5 years.

My personal opinion on that is that doggy style does not feel arousing to me and it is not comfortable. Arching your back during this is also very uncomfortable. It has never worked for me.
 
She might need to see a gynecologist and see if she has issues with her cervix. Is it all the time or just sometimes?

If everything checks out, she might just not prefer this position (sorry if that's it).
 
some girls are different. its normal for some positions to hurt. her hymen might have to break more.
 
There are two possibilities. One is that you are big (in length) for her. She can contol things better in other positions than she can in that position. In that position she can't control the depth of your penetration and the speed at which you thrust and it hurts. This is less likely.

The other is that you are hitting her cervix. While the exact positioning of things inside the vagina varies from woman to woman, but perhaps your wife's anatomy in there is such that her cervix is being contacted during your thrusts.

Decreasing the depth of your penetration should solve BOTH of these problems. Knowing how she described the pain would help (i.e., sharp pain vs contraction, painful on insertion vs painful on deep penetration, etc.)
 
Doggy style actually forces the male genitalia to push up against the front of the vaginal wall. You may be hitting her G spot which actually may cause pain...although no harm is being caused. That position restricts some size of the vagina which can feel for a tighter hole. I actually enjoy doggy style the best. I enjoy the feeling of pressing on the G spot. It actually leads to one of the most amazing female phenomenas...female ejaculation {squirting}. It's very intimate.

It could the angle. With this position, she might also need to manually stimulated either by you or she can do this herself. Sometimes with doggy style, the clitoris can get drier because it's not being stimulated as it would be in the missionary position or girl on top position and that can be painful at times when you thrust. You also have to remember that this position offers deeper penetration so that could also be the issue.
 
my husband and i have been married for 7 years and we have talked about how disgusting it is. we just arent the sort of ppl that would do something like that. so i hardly know anything about it. but clearly it would hurt her. maybe you should talk to your mother or father about it.
 
I had the same problem with my HS girlfriend of 3 years. No other position would hurt but doggie style. I dont know why. Now i have a different girlfriend (college) and it doesn't hurt her at all. Infact thats her favorite position. I think it just hurts some girls, and some it doesn't.

Some women have a curved uterus which is nothing to worry about. What it means is when you penetrate her, your manhood bupms her uterus and its unpleasant for her and even painful in some way.

Honestly, I would suggest that she sees her gyno to do a check up and maybe a biopsy of her uterus. I hope everything is ok but you never know.

For now...be gengtle when doing doggy style. And do other positions.
 
Maybe she's uncomfortable with you ramming something inside her when she can't see what's going on or maybe you're being too rough!
 
I sort of agree with James but I think the vaginal opening is tighter in the doggy position. I notice the difference right away on how the penis feels in the missionary position and then doggy style. Add a little extra lube or take it slow until you work your way in. I prefer doggy style to anything and my gspot is hit everytime. have fun kiddo

If it's hurting her, you are probably trying to enter via an exit port, being rough, not using lube etc. Married 5 years and you don't know this? Get some books or something man. Poor woman!
