There was chatter last month that Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly was considering using Yasiel Puig as his leadoff man this season. It's true, at least for the first game of the season.*
The Dodgers have released their probable lineup for their season opener in Australia*on Friday night (that's down-under time, the game starts at 4 a.m. Saturday ET). Yep, No. 66 is atop the order that will face the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Puig hit in the leadoff spot in 28 games last season and did quite well (.333/.409/.618), so this isn't an earth-shattering development. But it does create a few interesting facts:
•*Puig will be the first batter of the 2014 MLB regular season since the Dodgers are the visiting team for the Australia series.
•*That also means Puig will be the first MLB hitter to get an official at-bat in Australia.
Put that in anti-Puig pipe and smoke it, haters. But if you must continue your belief that Puig is disrespecting the game of baseball with every move he makes, here's a video of him juggling a baseball as if it were a soccer ball. Go ahead and tsk-tsk him.
