My family is considering traveling to Egypt to go the Giza pyramids, temples, tombs, Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel, but we are not sure if it's safe to go by ourselves so we can have enough time visiting the ancient sites or if we should do it with a escorted tour. Regulary escorted services leave very little time to explore all the attractions and we want to maximize our time there. Also, we are not interested in shopping.
