Woman dead, children in critical condition after Brossard fire alarm

Longueuil police are investigating after the death of a woman in Brossard on Montreal's South Shore overnight. The woman and two children were found unconscious at a home on St-Laurent Boulevard after police and firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 1 a.m. Sunday. The woman was pronounced dead in hospital. The children remain in critical condition. Police say they are questioning a man they consider an important witness.
